Photos are just one of the many things that most of us take for granted everyday. Most of us have photos of ourselves, our families, some of us have photos that span generations. Imagine what it would be like to never see yourself in a photo or to never see anyone...friend or family....in a photo.
I decided to try and reach out to someone at Lincoln Park Community Shelter a few weeks ago. Last weekend I paid a visit to the shelter to provide portrait sessions and prints for the guests living there. I also wanted to learn more about the community and to help raise awareness for the shelter.

Lincoln Park Community Shelter is much more than a shelter. It is a place of hope and a place for change. It provides their guests with opportunities and resources to become self-sufficient again.
