Vintage style has always been around, but it definitely seems more popular right now. With retail chains like Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters (which actually is the same retailer) and Home Goods growing even more popular, I wonder why the big surge in popularity?
Personally, I love finding unique items. Every time I visit one of these stores, I feel like there are all different kinds of things scattered about throughout the store for me to explore. So is it really the style we enjoy or is it the type of store and the type of shopping experience that we enjoy?
I was in the North Center neighborhood last week and discovered a wonderful boutique called Praha. Its definitely one of the most affordable vintage boutiques I've come across.
Just this past weekend Casey and I went to Jan's Antiques over on Racine. This place is huge and it probably took us almost two hours just browsing through all the different pieces here. You can take a look at some of my iPhone images from our visit.
